MSHA Part 48 Training for Current Mines Students, Faculty, and Staff

Use this form to submit an enrollment request for an upcoming Part 48 training course.

Current graduate students, faculty, and staff of the Colorado School of Mines are eligible to enroll in MSHA Part 48 training courses offered by the EMCIS Program. Students, faculty, and staff engaged in activities at the Edgar Experimental Mine may be eligible to enroll in these courses at no cost or a discounted rate.

Upon submitting this form, the Part 48 Training Coordinator will follow up with confirmation or specific registration instructions.

Undergraduates should not use this form. Instead, undergraduates must take MNGN 308.

Note: Submitting an enrollment request does not guarantee a spot in any course. Trainees paying the posted rate have registration priority over students, faculty, and staff enrolled at no cost or a discounted rate. By submitting an enrollment request, you acknowledge that your ability to attend the course at no cost or a discounted rate is dependent upon available space and you may be removed from your seat in the course if all seats become filled by paying attendees.

Attendance Agreement Attendance Agreement I acknowledge that obtaining an MSHA 5000-23 training certificate requires full attendance for the full duration of the course, and that if I do not attend the entirety of the training, such as by arriving late or leaving early on a training day, EMCIS will be unable to sign and certify a 5000-23 training certificate for me. I also acknowledge that if I do not meet this attendance requirement, my advisor will be notified and I forfeit my privilege to take MSHA certification courses with the EMCIS program at no cost nor discounted rate.

Should I meet the criteria for enrollment at no cost or discounted rate, I acknowledge that attendees paying the full posted rate have priority registration, and that my enrollment in the course is dependent upon available space. I understand that only certain Mines students, faculty, and staff undertaking certain activities at the Edgar Experimental Mine are eligible for enrollment at no cost or discounted rate, and should my training needs fall outside this requirement I will be invited to register for this training at the posted rate.
